Lead Instructor -Justin Chapman has 28 years of law enforcement experience, many of those years as an SRO, SRO unit supervisor, School District liaison and member of the first state level school safety commission in Utah.

The SRO position was the most satisfying of his law enforcement career, because he could witness the impact he had on the lives of the students.

A very notable experience was stopping an active shooter plot on the day it was to occur. Confiscating weapons, investigating the plot and arresting the suspect.

Justin is passionate about school safety, staff and student well being as well as placing the right officer with the correct mentality and skills in the SRO position.

Jeffrey J. Denning’s life has been shaped by action, service, and a commitment to helping others through their hardest moments. A former U.S. Army noncommissioned and commissioned officer and police hostage negotiator, he has spent decades navigating dangerous situations—negotiating high-risk incidents, training officers in firearms and tactics, and protecting lives under extreme pressure. Along the way, he saw firsthand the toll that trauma takes on military veterans, first responders and their families. Determined to make a difference, Jeff earned advanced degrees in both Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Special Operations, combining tactical expertise with compassionate care. Today, he is a sought-after speaker, training instructor, and crisis response specialist who equips individuals and organizations to prepare for, survive, and recover from critical incidents—bringing hope, healing, and hard-won wisdom to those who need it most.

Nick Jerman is a law enforcement veteran with more than 20 years of experience serving in a large metropolitan police department of approximately 1,100 officers. During his career, he worked a wide range of assignments, including Patrol and a Vice Unit, where he developed a strong investigative foundation and a practical understanding of how cases are built from the ground up. His operational experience in a busy urban environment gives him credibility and perspective that resonate with officers at every level.

Nick is widely recognized for his expertise in Social Media and Open Source Intelligence investigations. He played a key role in creating his agency’s Social Media and OSINT Unit, helping design a modern investigative capability that became a resource not only for his department but for agencies across North America. His work in this area reflects a forward-looking approach grounded in real-world application, policy considerations, and investigative effectiveness.

As a trainer, Nick has instructed officers, detectives, analysts, and command staff nationwide on the lawful and effective use of Social Media and OSINT. His training has supported Human Trafficking Task Forces across North America and contributed to successful investigations and victim rescues. In addition to teaching, he continues to assist task forces during major events and complex cases, where his methods have helped identify suspects in human trafficking, drug, and homicide investigations. Nick brings current, practical experience to every class, making his instruction both relevant and immediately usable.

Stop the Bleed Certification

At Iron Rescue, we believe that everyone should have the knowledge and skills to act decisively in emergencies. Our goal is to bridge the gap between the moment a crisis begins and the arrival of professional medical help.

FBI- Nihilistic Extremism

  • Historical Context: Reviewing past incidents where the primary driver was identified as a nihilistic rejection of society rather than a specific personal grievance.
  • Coercion and Grooming: Understanding how vulnerable students may be pressured by online peers to engage in increasingly risky or harmful behaviors.
  • Balancing Security and Suppor
