WE CAN WIN! 

I've spent decades working  with schools as an SRO and as a law enforcement liaison. I've worked at local and state levels on policy and safety committees, but most importantly,  I've worked directly with students and staff, "boots on the ground." This is where the work really counts.

I have first hand experience responding to acts of violence in and around schools, from a worst case a domestic related shooting that started at one of our elementary schools that tragically ended with three people killed, including a kindergartner... others  were wounded. 

Gratefully, I've also had many opportunities to prevent school violence, including a planned active shooter event at one of our high schools  (8 months before Columbine) recovering weapons, ammunition, a working motive and arresting the suspect.

These experiences and many many more have helped to motivate me to do all I can to educate, train and prepare staff and students for to plan for, prevent and respond to violent situations. I care deeply about their safety and have been training school personnel and police officers since 2007.

Whether it is adults in a business environment or staff and students at a school, each can be trained in a practical manner with relevant information and useful technology. These efforts can EMPOWER the learner with the skills and confidence they need  to take required action in response to and preparation for acts of violence.
